First you need to get organized. What are you offering and what do you want in exchange? All business transactions are built on a value exchange. If the relationship is unbalanced then one party will ultimately feel like they are getting ripped off. So putting your value down on paper is critical to making the potential sponsor understand what they are buying. Media kits or decks as they are often referred to are a presentation of your team’s assets and value. Typically you have a bio, team assets, race schedule, and a sort of sponsor logo placement guide. You are going to need a variety of professional photos to create the media kit. Your team should be in team uniforms and your race and support vehicles should be branded showing potential sponsors what they can look like. Some teams take it as far as creating renderings that are a mock up of what their branding will look like on your vehicles.
It doesn’t matter whether you race a Class 1, Trick Truck or a Motorcycle, you can get sponsored!
