Valcourt, Quebec, September 6, 2022 – BRP Inc. (TSX:DOO; NASDAQ:DOOO) is proud to announce its partnership with nationally renowned trail advocacy and stewardship nonprofit organization, Tread Lightly! aimed at funding 12 trail projects in the state of Utah. Can-Am will provide Tread Lightly! financial support and the use of a 2023 Can-Am Defender Max Limited and Defender 6×6 Limited to help conquer all the hard work that goes into restoring, protecting, and maintaining off-road trails on public lands in the state of Utah, one of the epicenters of off-roading.
“This partnership with Tread Lightly! is an opportunity for us to show our commitment to protecting and respecting the environment and making a positive and lasting impact on our communities,”said Julie Tourville, Director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road at BRP. “We knew right away that Tread Lightly! was the best partner for us to work with to achieve these goals. They are experts in this field and have been leading the way for more than 30 years.”
“Can-Am has gone above and beyond to further Tread Lightly!’s mission and protect the adventure for off-road trail users,” said Matt Caldwell, Executive Director of Tread Lightly!. “We cannot thank the Can-Am team enough for its commitment to improving off-roading opportunities in Utah through these projects and beyond.”
Tread Lightly! has years of experience working in Utah with local public land management agencies to maintain access to these public lands trails by promoting minimal impact recreation for off-road enthusiasts and serving as a leader in the trail stewardship world.
The Tread Lightly! team has already been hard at work utilizing the support from Can-Am and the Defender Max Limited and 6×6 Limited to help maintain six of Utah’s most popular public lands off-road trails. During July and August, the team began projects at Ward and Farmington Canyon, Big Hollow Stansbury, Tusher Tunnel, Bear Fork, Clyde Creek/East Fork, and Mud Creek.
The contributions from Can-Am have allowed Tread Lightly! to take on projects at the following locations in Utah include the SandMill Hollow, Ward Canyon, Farmington Canyon, and Buckland Springs, all to keep the Can-Am Off-Road Livin’ spirit alive for future generations. More projects and locations will be announced at a later date.
