Anguiano Racing Class 5 Open

We all know the Class 5 open is an endangered species so when we got a call from Adan Leggs about their newest 5 Open build we needed to head to his shop EFF Race prep and Custom works to show some love; and this machine didn’t disappoint us one little bit.

The first thing we notice and you might as well, the whole body is carbon fiber, all of it, Adan has an in-house custom body shop where they made the body from scratch, fully personalized to match the lines of the chassis adding a dramatic look to the vehicle.

Inside the carbon body made in-shop by fiberglass artisan Efraín Navarro of EFF Race shop, the engine is a 2.5 liter Chevrolet Ecotec tuned by Castillo Motorsports, Ecotec engines have been proved to be a reliable and relatively cheap option to use in categories of the limited but open categories. Continuing with the drivetrain, the transmission is a Weddle 5-speed sequential transferring as much power from the engine to the wheels, all wrapped in a body made by Victor Dethomas who’s EFF off-road fabricator.

Sparco, KC lights, Method Race wheels, Pyrotect are some other brands that put together a great racing package that will be hard to beat by its competitors. To sit everything on the ground a set of 35×10.5 BFGoodrich rubbers on all four corners will make sure they go wherever they want to go.  

On the suspension department, 15.5″ inches of front travel and 19″ on the rear with King shocks as the brand chosen to handle all the obstacles this race machine will face in M.O.R.E. and CODE next year, race associations that are in the aim of Anguiano Racing team leaded by Felipe Anguiano, owner of this vehicle to race next year if the current crisis allows them to.
