Wednesday’s kickoff events to the 2024 BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 in Las Vegas culminated with a return to Oscar’s Steakhouse at The Plaza Hotel & Casino for the annual Mint 400 Dinner of Champions. Hundreds of the biggest names in off-road racing came together for the seventh consecutive year for a night of fine dining in the heart of Las Vegas before the attention turns to this weekend’s competition.
“The Mint 400 Dinner of Champions is always one of my favorite parts of the Mint 400,” said Mint 400 CEO Matt Martelli. “It’s a great way for us to bring the off-road industry together in a high-class setting with some amazing food and drink before we get down to the business of racing. Thank you to everyone who attended, and especially Oscar’s Steakhouse for playing host to the event once again. If you didn’t join us this year, make sure you do next year—there’s nothing else like it on Mint 400 week!”
The Mint 400 Dinner of Champions is a curated dining experience where sponsors, exhibitors, and racers are invited to rub elbows at a multi-course meal. It marks the traditional end of the first day of Mint 400 festivities in Las Vegas, which are led off by the Mint 400 Vehicle Parade down the Las Vegas Strip and continues to Fremont Street East, where the annual Mint 400 Kickoff Party takes place at Atomic Liquors.
For the second consecutive year in 2024, the Dinner of Champions returned to Oscar’s Steakhouse, named for its founder, longtime Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. Alongside Mint 400 and UNLTD Off-Road Racing leadership, attendees of this year’s Mint 400 Dinner of Champions included names like 2024 Mint 400 Grand Marshal Ivan Stewart; former Mint 400 champion Rob MacCachren and his son Cayden, both of whom will be competing this weekend; longtime Mint 400 race director KJ Howe; off-road icon and Mint 400 livestream commentator Bob Bower; and many other event partners and racers.
This year’s Dinner of Champions also featured the limited edition 2024 Mint 400 Red Wine Blend, Mistura, produced by Doffo Winery under its Moto Doffo label. This limited-edition blend of 40% Syrah and 60% Cabernet Sauvignon is available online at doffowines.com, for pick up in Las Vegas at Atomic Liquors, or at Doffo Winery in Temecula, CA.
BFGoodrich Tires Mint 400 festivities continue on Thursday with the Mint 400 Off-Road Festival, an all-day, free-to-attend celebration of all things off-road on Fremont Street East. The Mint 400 Off-Road Festival runs from 9AM to 6PM and will play host to the biggest names in off-road racing showing off their latest products, while more than 400 race vehicles from all classes will go through tech inspection and contingency.
